Aghroud sits off the coast road north of Agadir, and its walls have been painted end to end: houses, staircases, doorframes, whole lanes of colour that local artists redo by hand as the weather takes it off. You walk it in half an hour. Then the road carries on to the Timlalin dunes, and you arrive with enough daylight left to climb one and sit down while the sun drops.
