How far is Marrakech from Agadir by road?

245 km, almost all of it on the A7 motorway that links the two cities. The older N8 through the mountain villages is longer and considerably slower, so we take the motorway unless you ask us not to, and the drive settles at around 2h 45min.

Is a private transfer better value than the coach?

Accepted Answer

A coach seat is cheaper if you are travelling alone. From two or three people the sums change, because our €130 covers the whole car rather than each passenger, and it includes the part the coach cannot do: collection from your hotel door, luggage that stays with you, and a drop-off at your riad instead of the bus station on the edge of town.

How many people and how much luggage fit?

A sedan takes 3 passengers with 2 large cases, an SUV 4 with 3 cases, a van 7 with 4 cases, a minivan 8 with 6, and a minibus seats up to 18. Tell us the head count and the number of bags when you reserve; we would rather send a bigger vehicle than watch a suitcase ride on somebody's knees for three hours.

Can we stop on the way for photos or a coffee?

Yes, and one comfort stop is built into the journey anyway. Beyond that the car is yours for the drive, so if you want five minutes for a photograph of the Atlas foothills or a longer coffee, tell the driver. He speaks French, English and Arabic, so asking is easy.

Do you collect from Agadir airport or from my hotel?

Either end works. We collect from Agadir Al Massira Airport with a name board and flight tracking, or from any hotel, riad or villa across Agadir, Taghazout, Tamraght and Aourir. In Marrakech we drive to the address you give us, and where the medina lanes are too narrow the driver walks you to the door.

How much does a private transfer from Agadir to Marrakech cost?

€130 for a sedan, and that is the price of the vehicle, not a price per person. An SUV is €150, a van €170, a minivan €200 and an 18-seat minibus €290, luggage included. No meter, no surcharge for a difficult hour, and the figure is confirmed in writing before you travel. You pay the driver in cash, in euros or dirham, at the end of the journey.

About 2 hours 45 minutes from your door in Agadir to your door in Marrakech, the comfort stop included. Work backwards from that: leave at nine and you have the afternoon in the medina; leave after dinner and you are at the riad before midnight.
