The goats really do climb. Argan fruit ripens out on thin branches where nothing on four legs has any business being, so the herds go up after it, several animals balanced in the same tree along the roads inland from Agadir. You stop, you look up, you take the photograph nobody at home believes. Then we carry on to a women's cooperative, where the nut inside that same fruit is cracked open by hand between two stones and turned into oil, which is the other half of why this drive is worth making.
