Agadir airport transfers priced by the car, not the seat: from EUR 25 into the city and EUR 40 to Taghazout. Routes, vehicles, child seats, boards, late landings and cash on the day.
Book an Agadir airport transfer and what you are actually buying is a driver waiting for your flight, a car nobody else is sharing, and a figure that cannot move between the quote and the kerb. Atlas Luxury Transfers charges for the vehicle rather than the seat: from EUR 25 into Agadir city centre (about 25 km, roughly 30 minutes), EUR 40 up the coast to Taghazout, EUR 130 across to Marrakech. Flight tracking, free waiting while you clear passport control and baggage, a name board in arrivals and a child seat if you ask in advance are part of that price rather than additions to it. You settle with the driver on the day, in cash, in euros or in dirham, whichever you happen to be carrying.
Al Massira sits roughly 25 km inland from the seafront, half an hour of dual carriageway and roundabouts. It is a short drive, and it is almost always the last piece of a holiday to get organised, usually because it feels too small to bother planning. Then you are standing in arrivals at eleven at night with a passport in one hand and a tired child or a board bag in the other, and it stops feeling small.
So decide it now, at a laptop, calmly, instead of at the kerb. What follows is the whole choice laid out: what each route costs as a whole car, what that works out at per head, which vehicle swallows your group and your cases, the twenty minutes between the aircraft door and the hotel door, how and when the money changes hands, and the cases where you honestly do not need to book anything at all.
Every figure here is one of ours, published and repeatable. Where we have not measured something ourselves, or cannot verify it, this guide says so plainly instead of rounding a guess up into a fact.
The routes, and what the car costs
Read the numbers below as the cost of the car. Your luggage travels inside that figure, and so does every passenger the vehicle is rated to carry. Step up to a larger vehicle on the same route and the price rises modestly; each route page lists every tier, so the exact number is in front of you before you commit to anything.
There is no arrival premium and no departure discount, so the last-morning run back to the airport costs exactly what the first-night run from it cost. Distances and drive times appear only where we have driven and timed the route ourselves, which is why one or two cells send you to the route page rather than offering a number we would be inventing.
- Quoted is paid. Nothing is added for a night landing, nothing for the name board, nothing per suitcase.
- Day excursions run on the opposite model, per person rather than per car, from EUR 15 for the city tour to EUR 70 for the buggy. Six or more of you and it is worth asking which way round suits your group, because now and then the per person ticket honestly wins.
| Route | From, whole vehicle | Distance and drive time |
|---|---|---|
| Airport to Agadir city centre | EUR 25 | About 25 km, roughly 30 minutes |
| Airport to Taghazout | EUR 40 | 50 km, drive time on the route page |
| Airport to Taroudant | EUR 90 | Published on the route page |
| Airport to Marrakech | EUR 130 | 245 km, about 2h45 |
| Airport to Essaouira | EUR 130 | Published on the route page |
| Taghazout to Marrakech | EUR 150 | Published on the route page |
Dividing the fare: why three people travel cheaper than one
Almost every comparison people make in this market breaks at the first step, and it costs them money. A shuttle seat is advertised per head. Our figure is the whole car, driver included. Until you divide one by the number of people getting in, you are not comparing anything, and that single missing step is why so many travellers file a private car under luxury.
Take the sedan, our entry tier, rated for three passengers and two large bags, at the starting prices above:
- A fourth passenger moves you up a vehicle tier, which carries a higher whole-car price than the starting figure. It is still one price for one car, though, so the amount per head usually keeps falling rather than climbing.
- Travelling alone, a private car is a real premium and you should weigh the certainty against the cost with clear eyes. From two people upward the gap narrows quickly, and by three it has generally closed.
| Travelling | Agadir city centre, EUR 25 the car | Taghazout, EUR 40 the car |
|---|---|---|
| 1 person | EUR 25 each | EUR 40 each |
| 2 people | EUR 12.50 each | EUR 20 each |
| 3 people | EUR 8.33 each | EUR 13.33 each |
Every way out of the terminal, weighed up
Obvious disclosure first: this is written by a company that sells transfers, so weigh it against whatever else you read. What we will not do is talk you into a car you did not need. A customer who felt sold to does not book the return leg.
Pre-book when the arrival has friction in it. A landing after dark. Small children. Cases, golf bags, boards. A drop-off outside the city, whether that is Taghazout, Taroudant, Essaouira or Marrakech. Three or more of you. Or simply this: if haggling over a fare at the kerb on no sleep is the single thing about this trip you are quietly dreading, that on its own is reason enough.
The rank outside the terminal is there, plenty of arriving passengers use it, and we are not going to pretend otherwise, though it is nothing to do with us, so we can describe how it works without speaking for any driver on it. Daylight, hand luggage, a central address, local cash in your pocket and a willingness to settle the fare out loud before the boot opens: that combination works for a lot of people. The catch is that the fare is negotiated rather than posted, which is precisely why the traveller forums disagree so violently about what it costs. We will not print a figure for it, because the reported numbers are all over the place and we are not passing off an unverified one as fact.
App-based rides have been reported operating in Agadir, but the coverage is patchy and inconsistent, and there is no dependable app pickup at the airport. Crossing town in daylight with a cabin bag, an app may well work. Standing in arrivals at midnight with four cases and a car seat, waiting to find out whether a car appears, is a different proposition, and not one we would build an arrival around.
Hotel cars tend to cost the most of all, and tend to be the same local drivers wearing somebody else's margin. If reception sends you a quote, hold it up against the table above before you say yes.
Matching the car to the people and the cases
Fleet pages are usually a parade of badges. The only question that matters is whether your party, your suitcases and your pushchair all leave the airport in the same vehicle, because what people genuinely fear is watching a car turn up too small and being split into two at midnight.
The capacities we publish are counted in large hold bags. Cabin bags, a pushchair or a travel cot ride on top of that. If you are anywhere near the limit, send us the actual list and we will name the vehicle that fits it, not the smallest one we could technically defend.
- Five people with a pushchair and a travel cot is a van, not an SUV. Yes, some four-passenger cars would take a child on a lap. We do not do that.
- Eight travellers with eight cases is one minibus rather than two vans, assuming you would like to arrive as one group.
- Parties landing on separate flights can be run as two pick-ups under a single booking, with one name responsible for the lot.
| Vehicle | Passengers | Large bags |
|---|---|---|
| Skoda Superb, sedan | Up to 3 | 2 |
| Mercedes E-Class, VIP | Up to 3 | 2 |
| Skoda Kodiaq, SUV | Up to 4 | 3 |
| Toyota Land Cruiser, 4x4 | Up to 6 | 4 |
| Mercedes Vito, van | Up to 7 | 4 |
| Ford Tourneo Custom, van | Up to 8 | 4 |
| Mercedes Sprinter, minibus | Up to 18 | Large group luggage |
| Volkswagen Crafter, minibus | Up to 18 | Large group luggage |
From wheels down to hotel door
Hardly anybody spells this part out, which is a shame, because the sequence is what actually settles the nerves. Here is all of it, from the moment the wheels touch down at AGA.
- Your flight is tracked live. Early, on time or ninety minutes behind, we already know; the pick-up shifts with the aircraft, and nobody expects a message from you at thirty thousand feet.
- Passport control and baggage reclaim are yours to get through. How long that takes swings wildly with the hour and with how many aircraft landed together, which is the entire reason the waiting policy further down exists.
- You walk out into the arrivals hall and the driver is there, inside the building rather than somewhere in the car park, board in hand with the lead passenger's name printed across it. Ask for that board when you book and it is waiting.
- He takes the cases, walks you to the vehicle, and you go. Nothing is agreed at the car and nothing is negotiated, because the number was fixed in writing while you were still at home.
- Board nowhere in sight? Ring or message the number printed on your confirmation and we will place him for you, in French, English or Arabic: which door, which side of the hall. Nobody gets left sweeping a crowd on their own.
- The drive ends at your door, meaning the hotel entrance, the riad, the apartment block or the surf camp, not a convenient corner nearby.
Paying: cash, on the day, nothing before
The dirham is a closed currency. In practice that means your bank at home cannot sell you any before you fly, and that one fact sits underneath most of the arrival anxiety travellers describe: landing with no local money and being nudged towards whatever rate the airport is offering at midnight.
Which is why we take the money on the day and nothing before it. There is no online payment to make, no card details to enter, no deposit and no prepayment. You hand the agreed fare to the driver in cash at the end of the journey, in euros or in dirham, whichever you are carrying. We accept euros; that is not the same as saying Morocco does. A cafe or a market stall may take them at a rate that flatters their till, so change money once you have slept rather than while you are desperate.
Cancelling is free up to 24 hours before your scheduled pick-up; inside that window a late-cancellation fee may apply. Because nothing has been taken in advance, cancelling in good time costs you nothing at all. That is the published policy and it is the one we hold ourselves to as well.
Landing with children
Baby seats and booster seats cost nothing and go into the car before you land, subject to one being available on your date. You are not handed a seat at the kerb to wrestle in yourself, and no charge for it appears later.
Give us ages, not just a headcount, when you book. An eight-month-old, a two-year-old and a six-year-old need three different seats, and the earlier we know, the more certain we are of having the right one fitted on the day. A last-minute request still gets our best effort; it is simply less certain.
Two things parents rarely get told. The fare buys the car, so a family of five is not five fares. And if you want to stop at a pharmacy or a supermarket between the airport and the hotel for nappies, milk or water, just say so. It is an ordinary request, and far better than going back out at eleven at night with a shattered child.
Boards, and the coast road north
North of the airport, Taghazout is really a shorthand covering several separate places. Tamraght, Aourir, Anza, Taghazout village and Taghazout Bay each have their own approach and their own last hundred metres, and a price list naming only Taghazout leaves you guessing whether your address counts. Give us the village plus the street or the camp name and your exact drop-off is priced before a single dirham changes hands.
Boards ride free in the larger vehicles and never move the price. What they move is the choice of vehicle. Message us on WhatsApp with how many board bags you have and how long they are, and we will name the car that carries them alongside the suitcases. That is a two-minute exchange now instead of a problem at the kerb later.
The arithmetic is kind here. Taghazout starts at EUR 40 for the car, so four surfers split it four ways: EUR 10 a head, boards in the back, dropped in the village itself rather than left on the main road above it. And at the end of the trip, a soaking, sand-filled board bag going home is expected rather than a complication.
Late arrivals, long queues and the 05:00 run
Waiting is included on every airport pick-up, and it is measured against the time you actually land rather than the time printed on your ticket: the driver is there while you clear passport control and collect your bags, free of charge for a reasonable delay. Because we are watching the flight, a delayed aircraft becomes our rescheduling problem rather than a line on your bill.
If the queue at passport control turns into one of the long ones, message us. Ten years of Agadir arrivals have taught us what a bad night at immigration looks like, and a phone in your hand beats a stopwatch every time.
The 05:00 departure run is ordinary work, not a favour, and that includes the coastal villages, where at that hour nothing else is running and your flight still leaves at 07:00. We confirm the time by message the evening before, so you can sleep instead of lying awake checking. Book that leg when you book the arrival; it is the one that gets forgotten and then scrambled for.
The inclusions, written as commitments
Anyone can type the word premium. Here is the same thing expressed as things you can hold us to.
- One fixed price for the vehicle, confirmed in writing before you travel, identical in either direction.
- Meet and greet inside the terminal, your name on a printed board, on request when you book.
- Live flight tracking on every airport pick-up.
- Free waiting for a reasonable delay, measured from the time you actually land.
- Baby and booster seats at no charge, fitted before you arrive, subject to availability.
- Drop-off at your actual address, not at a nearby pick-up point.
- Air conditioning, a hand with the luggage, and a professional chauffeur who speaks French, English and Arabic.
- Payment in cash to the driver on the day, in euros or dirham. No card, no deposit, nothing paid in advance.
- Cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the pick-up time.
- A registered Agadir company you can actually reach: COMPANY TRENTIEME, ten years on these roads, vetted drivers we book directly rather than a marketplace of strangers, and a phone number a person answers.
Booking it, and what we need from you
Two ways in: the booking form on atlasluxurytransfers.com, or WhatsApp on +212 762 376 882 if you would rather speak to a person before committing to anything. Reservations are taken 24/7, and the reply comes from someone in Agadir who can answer in French, English or Arabic. Anything with moving parts, such as a group arriving on two flights, board bags, a particular car seat or an address that is hard to find, is genuinely quicker as a message, and asking commits you to nothing.
For a firm price first time, tell us the arrival date and flight number, the exact hotel or address you are heading to, how many adults and how many children with their ages, how many large bags, anything oversized such as board bags or golf clubs, and whether you want the return leg locked in at the same time.
If what you actually want is the same driver at your disposal for several days rather than a single journey, say so, because that is a different service on a different price basis. And if day trips are on the list, book them alongside the transfer so the pick-up times are built around your flights instead of colliding with them.
